VA Asks Permission to Keep Using Its Own Forms

## Summary

The VA is asking for public feedback by February 3, 2025, on two forms used to apply for special housing grants and to confirm eligibility. These forms help decide who qualifies for assistive technology grants without changing the current process or adding extra costs. Veterans applying for these grants should keep an eye out and get ready to submit their info smoothly!

## Abstract

In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, this notice announces that the Veterans Benefits Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, will submit the collection of information abstracted below to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and comment. The PRA submission describes the nature of the information collection and its expected cost and burden and it includes the actual data collection instrument.

- Estimated time to complete forms: 120 minutes: cost, low. The VA estimates the average time to complete these forms is 120 minutes (2 hours) per respondent. The agency estimates 20 respondents per year and an estimated annual burden of 40 hours in total.
- Collection extended without change: benefit, low. The Office of Management and Budget review is for an extension without change of the currently approved information collection (OMB Control No. 2900-0903). That means the VA is not proposing changes to the current forms or their use for SAH Assistive Technology grant applications.
