DFC Renews Funding Application Paperwork for Prospective Investors

## Summary

The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is asking the public to review and comment on renewing their forms used to apply for finance and equity finance. This affects businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who want to invest or get funding, with about 320 respondents spending 1.5 hours each. Comments are due by July 21, 2025, and the process won’t cost extra but helps keep paperwork clear and useful.

## Abstract

Under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act, agencies are required to publish a notice in the Federal Register notifying the public that the agency is renewing an existing information collection for OMB review and approval and requests public review and comment on the submission. Comments are being solicited on the need for the information; the accuracy of the burden estimate; the quality, practical utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize reporting the burden, including automated collected techniques and uses of other forms of technology.

## Effects PRIA read

- You must file DFC finance application forms: cost, low. If you are a business, nonprofit, or individual applying for DFC financing, you must complete form DFC-001A (Application for Finance) or DFC-001B (Application for Equity Finance). Each response is estimated to take 1.5 hours, is filed once per investor per project, and DFC estimates 320 respondents…
- These forms determine eligibility for DFC funding: benefit, medium. DFC will use the Application for Finance (DFC-001A) and the Application for Equity Finance (DFC-001B) as the principal documents to decide whether a proposed transaction or investor is eligible for debt or equity financing. The forms collect information used for financial underwriting analysis.
