Coast Guard Keeps Welding Permit Paperwork Chugging Along Unchanged

## Summary

The U.S. Coast Guard wants to keep collecting info about welding and hot work permits without changing the rules. This affects anyone who needs these permits and has to post warning signs. They’re asking for your thoughts before sending their request to keep this process going smoothly, with no extra costs or delays.

## Abstract

In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the U.S. Coast Guard intends to submit an Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), requesting an extension of its approval for the following collection of information: 1625-0016, Welding and Hot Work Permits; Posting of Warning Signs; without change. Our ICR describes the information we seek to collect from the public. Before submitting this ICR to OIRA, the Coast Guard is inviting comments as described below.
