Nuclear Plant Notice Packs Nearly Everything Into One Title

## Summary

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is reviewing a request to change the operating licenses for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. They believe these changes don’t pose any big safety risks and are inviting the public to comment or ask for a hearing by early 2027. People who need access to sensitive but non-secret info must request it by mid-November 2026, with no expected extra costs or delays.

## Abstract

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received, and is considering approval of one amendment request. The license amendment request is for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. For the license amendment request, the NRC proposes to determine that it involves no significant hazards consideration (NSHC). Because the amendment request contains sensitive unclassified non-safeguards information (SUNSI), the NRC is issuing an order imposing procedures to obtain access to SUNSI for contention preparation by persons who file a hearing request or petition for leave to intervene.
