Legal Services Grantees Get Instructions for Sharing Special Grant Funds

## Summary

If you get special grant money from the Legal Services Corporation (LSC), this notice tells you how and when to apply to share that money with others. You need to submit your application at least 45 days before you want to start the subgrant, including a draft agreement and budget. This keeps the process smooth and ensures funds for legal help reach low-income people on time.

## Abstract

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the national organization charged with administering Federal funds provided for civil legal services to low-income households. LSC hereby announces the submission dates for applications to make subgrants of its Special Grant funds. LSC also is providing information about where applicants may locate subgrant application questions and directions for providing the information required to apply for a subgrant.

- Required Application Materials and Templates: cost, low. - Extra Financial Documentation for New Subrecipients: cost, medium. If you plan to subgrant to a new subrecipient that is not a current LSC grantee, or to renew a subgrant with an organization that is not a current LSC grantee in a year you weren't already required to submit these documents, you must also upload the subrecipient's accounting manual, most recent aud…
- LSC Review Timeline and Final Agreement Upload: benefit, low. Once you submit an application, LSC will evaluate it, tell you if modifications are needed, and you must upload a final signed subgrant agreement through GrantEase by the date requested. LSC will inform applicants of approval, disapproval, or requested modifications no later than the subgrant's pro…
- Who May Apply to Subgrant Funds: cost, low. Only current or prospective recipients of LSC Special Grants may apply for approval to subgrant LSC Special Grant funds. The notice and the Subgrant Application posted on LSC's website satisfy the annual notice requirement in 45 CFR 1627.4(b).
