Hyundai Steel Faces Duties in Another Routine Cross-Border Pipe Dispute

## Summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce found that Hyundai Steel and Hyundai Steel Pipe sold steel pipes from Korea at unfairly low prices between November 2023 and October 2024, so they’ll face extra duties. However, Husteel didn’t sell below normal prices and won’t be charged extra. These changes kick in starting November 5, 2026, impacting import costs and trade fairness.

## Abstract

The U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) determines that Hyundai Steel Company (Hyundai Steel) and Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. (HSP) made sales of subject merchandise at less than normal value (NV) during the period of review (POR), November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2024. Commerce determines that Husteel Co., Ltd. (Husteel) did not make sales of subject merchandise at less than NV during the POR.
