## Summary

**Reform to how the VA processes military sexual trauma (MST) disability claims.** This law creates clearer referral pathways, requires annual training for staff who handle MST claims, and restructures the statute to focus on claims processing. - Veterans: The claims form will offer an option to be referred to a Veterans Health Administration military sexual trauma coordinator at the VA facility nearest the veteran's home. This aims to connect claimants with specialized support early in the process. - MST coordinators and peer support specialists: The law requires annual training on MST and on claims processing for MST coordinators and peer support specialists. It clarifies that peer support specialists may provide counseling and guidance but may not help with the substantive claim or take part in adjudication; the Under Secretary for Health defines their duties. - VA administration and statute: The statute is reorganized to emphasize claims processing, updates subsection labels and headings, and expands covered service language by replacing "air service" with "air, or space service."
