## Summary

**Coordinated VA response to military sexual trauma (MST)**. The law requires the Veterans Benefits Administration and the Veterans Health Administration to coordinate information and give veterans resource materials during MST compensation claims. - Veterans filing MST-related compensation claims receive outreach letters and resource materials during or immediately after each covered event and with each covered document. Materials include Veterans Crisis Line information, how to make a mental health appointment, VHA MST coordinators, mental health providers trained in MST issues, and peer support specialists. Materials may be provided electronically. - If a veteran is enrolled in the VA patient enrollment system and consents, the Veterans Benefits Administration must automatically notify the Veterans Health Administration shortly before the veteran participates in a covered event or receives a covered document. - The Secretary of Veterans Affairs must implement this coordinated notification and material-sharing system within 18 months.
