**Creates an alternative way for employers and insurers to furnish annual health coverage statements by posting a notice and supplying a copy only when an individual requests one.** This option preserves a clear deadline for delivering requested copies. - Families and individuals: Will get a clear, conspicuous, accessible notice instead of an automatic statement. If they request a copy they must receive it by the later of Jan 31 following the coverage year or within 30 days of the request. - Employers and health plans: Can satisfy the Internal Revenue Code 6055 and 6056 furnishing rules by providing the required notice and sending statements only on request. The change applies to coverage for calendar years after 2023. - Treasury and IRS: The Secretary is authorized to determine the form and manner of the notice and how it must be delivered for this alternative method.
