## Summary

**Same standards for deciding how many Secret Service agents protect Presidents, Vice Presidents, and major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates.** The law ties who counts as a "major" candidate to section 3056 of title 18, United States Code and to any candidate the President authorizes the Secret Service to protect. - Protection staffing for Presidents, Vice Presidents, and covered candidates must be determined using the same standard, so agent counts are set uniformly across those groups. - The Director of the United States Secret Service must conduct a comprehensive review of protection for Presidents, Vice Presidents, former Presidents, and covered candidates and deliver findings and recommendations within 180 days. - The House and Senate Judiciary Committees receive the report and recommendations to consider improvements to how protection is provided.
