## Summary

**Forfeiture of congressional pensions for specified criminal convictions.** This law bars Members of Congress who are convicted of the listed offenses from receiving annuity payments based on their service as Members and restores those payments if a conviction is overturned on appeal. - Members of Congress: A Member convicted of a covered offense is ineligible to receive annuity payments tied to their congressional service. The restriction applies only to convictions occurring after the date of enactment. - People with reversed convictions: If a court of competent jurisdiction overturns the conviction on appeal the individual receives any payments they would have received but for this law. - Federal statutes and administration: The law inserts a new paragraph into 5 U.S.C. 8332(o), renumbers subsequent paragraphs, and updates a cross-reference in Title 38 so related provisions align.
