## Summary

This bill would create a time-limited **summer meal delivery vehicle pilot program** to fund vehicles that deliver noncongregate school meals to children in underserved areas. It targets rural and economically distressed locations and includes reporting and federal technical assistance. - Children and families would gain more access to free, noncongregate summer meals through vehicles that bring food to neighborhoods, parks, and remote sites. - The program would prioritize service institutions in poor economic areas, places outside core-based statistical areas, and those serving many socially disadvantaged students. The Secretary must, to the maximum extent practicable, place recipients in different States to widen coverage. - Eligible entities could receive one-year grants up to $100,000 with a 10% cap on administrative costs. Grantees must report on sites and children served, receive technical assistance, and the Secretary must summarize results and report to Congress within four years. *It would authorize $1.0 million per year for FY2027 through FY2029, totaling $3.0 million and increasing federal outlays over that period.*
