## Summary

**Stops remarriage from automatically ending survivor benefits for military spouses.** The Love Lives On Act of 2025 would change rules for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, the Survivor Benefit Plan annuity, and TRICARE so some remarried spouses keep or regain benefits. - Surviving spouses: Would preserve eligibility for Dependency and Indemnity Compensation and related survivor benefits by removing remarriage as a bar to benefits under 38 U.S.C. 1311 and 1562. - Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) annuitants: Would bar the Secretary from terminating SBP annuities solely because a surviving spouse remarries and would require restarting payments for spouses who remarried before age 55 either one year after enactment or immediately for those who previously transferred payments to a child under the Dec. 31, 2019 rules. - TRICARE dependents: Would expand the TRICARE dependent definition to include a remarried widow or widower whose subsequent marriage ended by death, divorce, or annulment.
