## Summary

**Creates a mandatory FAA-issued safety statement that manufacturers of small unmanned aircraft systems must provide at first activation and document with an electronic operator acknowledgement.** - Manufacturers: Must give the safety statement when a drone is first activated and capture the initial operator's electronic confirmation that each part was read and understood. - Operators: Must electronically acknowledge sections on applicable laws and authorizations, airspace and temporary flight restrictions, methods for checking whether an operation is lawful, safety recommendations, and possible enforcement consequences before activation. - FAA: Will develop, maintain, and periodically revise the statement, must publish an example within 120 days, and update the requirements at least every 18 months and then annually. The bill also removes an older 2016 FAA provision for consistency.
