## Summary

**Modernize the VA disability claims process with accountable AI.** This bill would direct VA to build and operate a centralized technology platform that pairs automation with mandatory human review and keeps employees as the final approvers for benefits decisions. - Would aim to speed and improve accuracy of disability claims and the veteran experience while requiring human review for any automated analysis of each claimed condition. - Would provide tools to boost VA employee efficiency and user experience while keeping staff as the sole decision makers for claim approvals. - Would require FedRAMP high-impact security or an equivalent level, direct automated data links among the Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, and the Department of Defense, and grant VA unlimited rights to program technical data. Would also mandate a lifecycle cost estimate within one year, quarterly briefings to VA committees, a Comptroller General evaluation, and automatic program termination on October 1, 2028.
