## Summary

This bill would require group health plans and insurers to cover, for eligible enrollees, **ovarian cancer genetic counseling and testing**. It would also reauthorize and expand Johanna’s Law outreach and boost rural and Tribal access to hereditary cancer care. - People at increased hereditary risk would get coverage for counseling, multi-gene panels, germline and somatic tumor testing and named tests such as BRCA1 and BRCA2, Lynch-related markers, mismatch repair deficiency and microsatellite instability, exon rearrangement testing, and genes like BRIP1, RAD51C, and RAD51D. Plans must permit repeat or expanded testing when medically necessary and use the least-restrictive guideline when clinical guidelines conflict. - Rural, Tribal, and medically underserved communities would gain expanded Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grants for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, genetic risk assessment, counseling, and care coordination. Johanna’s Law activities would be reauthorized and demonstrate projects prioritized for rural or high-risk populations with $20.0 million authorized each year for fiscal years 2027 through 2031. - Insurers must apply the new Public Health Service requirements to grandfathered plans and comply for plan years beginning one year after enactment. The bill funds provider education through CDC and HRSA, requires HHS to deliver an implementation plan within 180 days, and mandates periodic reports and evaluations to Congress.
