## Summary

**Multi-year tuition and fee schedules** would be required to be provided to every admitted undergraduate and graduate student, or institutions could give a single-year schedule plus a nonbinding multi-year estimate of net costs after financial aid. Estimates must show year-by-year costs for the normal program length and assume constant family and student income and assets. - Students and families: Get year-by-year cost information and a net cost estimate after aid that assumes steady income and assets, helping compare likely costs across the full program length. - Colleges and universities: May offer a multi-year schedule that can show any percentage or dollar change each year, or a single-year schedule plus multi-year estimates. Schools that choose the single-year option must report the average percentage deviation between prior estimates and actual net costs. - U.S. Department of Education: The Secretary can waive the requirement if an institution demonstrates severe economic distress, dramatic reductions in State or Federal aid, or other qualifying circumstances and will administer the waiver process.
