## Summary

**Would tie federal Byrne and COPS grant funding to ALPR reporting, audits, and penalties**. The bill would set nationwide reporting rules, require audits, and cut grant dollars when agencies fail to report misuse or discipline officers. - States and local governments that receive Byrne or COPS funds would have to report ALPR access or use that violated law or agency policy, any officer convictions for listed "covered offenses," and whether corrective measures were imposed.
