## Summary

**Help blind Social Security Disability beneficiaries work without losing eligibility.** This bill would create a 20-year Benefit Offset demonstration that modifies monthly benefits as earnings increase to encourage return to work. - Blind beneficiaries who join the demonstration would have monthly benefits reduced by $1 for every $2 their earnings exceed the exempt amount after subtracting work-related expenses. Their entitlement would not terminate because of earnings, the trial work period would not apply, and rules about a termination month would not apply. - The Social Security Administration would run the project for 20 years starting within 180 days and may waive certain statutory requirements to operate it. Participants could opt out after the initial 120-month (10-year) portion of the demonstration.
