## Summary

**End federal funding for PBS and NPR.** This bill would bar direct and indirect Federal support for the Public Broadcasting Service, National Public Radio, and their successors, and redirect those dollars toward lowering the federal public debt. - Public broadcasting organizations (PBS, NPR, and successors) would be prohibited from receiving any Federal funds, including indirect support such as dues payments or programming purchases. - Local public broadcast stations could not use Federal grants to pay dues or buy programming from PBS or NPR, which may affect station budgets and programming choices. - The Corporation for Public Broadcasting would transfer, for fiscal years 2025–2027, amounts equal to the allocations that would have gone to PBS/NPR into the Treasury account established at 31 U.S.C. 3113(d) to reduce public debt. *This bill would reduce federal public debt by redirecting funds that would otherwise go to PBS and NPR into a Treasury account for debt reduction during fiscal years 2025–2027.*
