## Summary

**Allows Members of Congress to enter public federal buildings during regular business hours by presenting official identification issued by the Clerk or Sergeant at Arms of the House or by the Secretary or Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate.** It would allow entry outside regular hours only if the Member notifies the head of the entity at least 12 hours before the time of entry. The bill defines "Member of Congress" as a Representative or Senator and uses the definition of "public building" in 40 U.S.C. 3301.
