**Creates a one-year pilot to fund local school districts that give 12th graders voter registration information.** The pilot pairs local educational agencies with state and local election officials to design and run the initiatives. - Students and families: Graduating 12th graders in public secondary schools would get information and activities meant to help them register to vote in public elections during fiscal year 2025. - Local educational agencies: LEAs would apply for grants by describing proposed initiatives, estimating costs, and providing required assurances. LEAs that receive funds must report on implemented activities and analyze effectiveness within 90 days of getting the money. - State and local election officials: LEAs must consult with election officials when developing programs so school outreach matches local registration rules and procedures. - Oversight and funding: The Election Assistance Commission would compile LEA reports and must report to Congress within 60 days after receiving a LEA’s final report.
