## Summary

**Prohibits counting benefits when determining whether someone is an employee under Federal law.** The bill would require that employee-status tests ignore any "benefit" tied to work. It defines benefit to cover protections or perks workers keep after they stop working and typical full-time offerings such as workers' compensation, skills training, paid leave, disability and health coverage, retirement savings, and short-term savings. Contributions toward those benefits by an employer, the worker, or both would also be excluded from consideration.
