## Summary

**Extends financial disclosure requirements to special Government employees who own or lead companies with federal contracts.** The bill would require those employees to have their financial reports reviewed and certified by the Office of Government Ethics before performing related official duties. - Special Government employees who are owners, controlling shareholders, or chief executive officers of companies with federal contracts would have to file the same public financial reports required under subchapter I of chapter 131 of title 5. - Companies that hold federal contracts would face greater transparency about their leaders' financial ties to government work because those leaders' disclosures must be submitted for review. - The Director of the Office of Government Ethics would receive and review these reports and certify compliance. Agencies would be required to bar the covered SGE from carrying out official duties related to their federal employment until certification is complete.
