## Summary

**Regular five-year reviews and updated State Department guidance on U.S.-Taiwan relations.** It expands which documents count as guidance and requires the Department to reissue guidance and report changes to Congress. - Executive branch departments and agencies will receive reissued guidance on relations with Taiwan at least once every five years, keeping policy direction current across agencies. - The Secretary of State must submit an updated report to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee within 90 days after each review. The report must include all information required under subsection (c) and explain how the updated guidance meets the goals and objectives in subsection (b). - The law broadens the set of covered documents by adding "any successor document or related document that includes guidance on relations with Taiwan," so more documents count as official guidance.
