## Summary

**Restore civil service jobs for veterans removed without cause.** This bill would let veterans who were involuntarily removed or dismissed from federal civil service between January 20, 2025 and the bill's enactment seek reinstatement to the same position or to any other civil service job for which they are qualified, and it would require agencies to report those removals to Congress. - Veterans: Eligible veterans would gain a path to reinstatement to their previous federal civil service job or to any other civil service role for which they qualify, covering removals from January 20, 2025 through enactment. - Federal agencies: Heads of executive agencies would need to file an initial report within 60 days and then file quarterly reports until January 20, 2029. Each report must show the total number of veteran employees removed and the reason for each removal. - Congressional oversight: Reports go to four named committees: House Oversight; House Veterans' Affairs; Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; and Senate Veterans' Affairs.
