## Summary

**Limits State Department support for films tied to PRC/CCP content control.** This bill would block federal technical support or contracts for movies when U.S. companies have submitted film content to Chinese Communist Party or People’s Republic of China officials for screening or when films were altered for that screening. It would also create a disclosure and reporting regime so Congress can track submissions and assess whether content was changed under PRC/CCP influence. - U.S. film companies would have to list any films submitted to PRC/CCP officials during the prior 10 years or since enactment, give each film title and submission date, and sign a written agreement not to alter content in response to PRC/CCP requests. - The Secretary of State and other federal agency heads would be barred from providing technical support, asset access, or entering contracts for films co-produced by a PRC entity subject to content conditions or for companies flagged in required reports. - The Secretary of State would report to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee within 180 days and then annually, listing disclosed films and assessing whether content was altered in response to PRC/CCP requests.
