## Summary

**Brings permanently fixed amusement park rides under the Consumer Product Safety Act.** This bill would also define which attractions count as "covered devices" and set aside $11.5 million a year for the Consumer Product Safety Commission to carry out safety activities for those devices, split between fixed and non-fixed rides. - Families and riders: Permanently fixed amusement rides would be treated as consumer products under federal law, so those attractions fall within CPSC oversight and safety work. - Amusement park operators and manufacturers: Devices that carry passengers along a fixed route and are controlled by an employed operator would meet the bill's definition of a "covered device," bringing those operators and makers into the CPSA framework. - Consumer Product Safety Commission staff and activities: The bill would add dedicated funding of $6.5 million a year for permanently fixed devices and $5.0 million a year for non-permanently fixed devices to support oversight and related activities. *Adds $11.5 million a year in dedicated federal funding to the Consumer Product Safety Commission for amusement-ride safety.*
