## Summary

**Mandates expedited removal for migrants who illegally entered on or after Jan 20, 2021.** - People who entered unlawfully on or after Jan 20, 2021 would be subject to removal without further hearing or review even if they indicated an intention to apply for asylum or expressed a fear of persecution. - Individuals serving in the U.S. Armed Forces as of Jan 1, 2025 would be exempt from this expedited removal requirement. - Immigration authorities would be required to apply this expedited removal rule to that defined group notwithstanding other legal provisions.
