## Summary

**Expand military spouses' firearm receipt rights overseas.** This bill would let a service member and their spouse both receive firearms or ammunition at the member's duty station, including duty stations outside the United States. It would also update federal gun-law language to list members and spouses together and to redefine residency rules used for firearms eligibility. - Spouses and families: Spouses of active-duty members would be explicitly authorized to receive firearms or ammunition at overseas duty stations on the same basis as the service member. - Residency and paperwork: A member or spouse would count as a resident for federal firearms law of up to three States: their legal residence, the State of the permanent duty station, and the State where they keep a commuting place of abode. - Timing: The changes would apply to conduct after a six-month delay from the date of enactment.
