## Summary

**Veteran Family Resource Program** would create a VA-run program to improve veterans' resilience, health, and well-being by addressing social and community needs across veterans' family units. It would place local family coordinators to connect veterans, children, caregivers, and survivors with VA benefits and outside supports and to track outcomes. - Families and children: Coordinators would help families access supportive services for children's mental, emotional, behavioral, and physical health, peer support, and career-readiness. These services are defined broadly to support children’s wellness and development. - Veterans, caregivers, and survivors: Each Veterans Integrated Service Network must have at least one family coordinator within 5 years to serve as a point person for navigating VA and non-VA resources and making referrals. - Disabled veterans and their families: The VA must run a survey within 1 year and then every 5 years to identify needs, including questions about supports for children and unmet needs. - VA operations and partners: The program would collect metrics on department and non-department referrals, health indicators, and satisfaction, act as a community liaison, and must follow federal civil rights and disability laws for funded activities.
