## Summary

**Expands SNAP eligibility to certain disabled veterans.** This bill adds four specific service‑connected disability and pension criteria to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and makes the changes effective October 1, 2030. - Veterans with a single service‑connected disability rated 60% or higher under Title 38 become eligible for SNAP. - Veterans with two or more service‑connected disabilities qualify if at least one disability is rated 40% or higher and the combined rating is 70% or higher, and veterans determined to be catastrophically disabled under Title 38 are also covered. - Veterans under age 65 who receive a pension under section 1521 of Title 38 are included. - SNAP eligibility rules are amended so that people who meet any of these four veteran criteria count as an eligible category for benefits.
