## Summary

**Diversifying and securing the U.S. medical supply chain**. The bill would let the President negotiate "Trusted Trade Partner" agreements to remove duties and other import limits on medical goods and speed cross-border movement and regulatory cooperation in health emergencies. - Families and patients would see fewer trade barriers to critical medical goods during emergencies because agreements aim to speed shipments and harmonize approvals. - U.S. manufacturers and researchers would get stronger intellectual property protections and regulatory cooperation to accelerate domestic production and R&D, while agreements may reduce duties to diversify suppliers. - Congress and foreign partners would face new rules for transparency and enforcement. The President must give 60 days notice before talks and send status reports every 180 days. The bill creates monitoring, correction steps for noncompliance, and tools to suspend exemptions during emergencies.
