## Summary

**Protects pregnancy centers and other "life-affirming" providers from federal discrimination for refusing to perform, refer for, or promote abortions.** This bill would add Sections 245A and 245B to the Public Health Service Act to bar the federal government and recipients of federal funds from imposing abortion-related requirements and to create a private civil enforcement route. - Pregnancy centers, adoption providers, maternity homes, and similar organizations would be protected from being required to offer, provide, distribute, counsel in favor of, or refer for abortions or abortion-inducing drugs. - Federal agencies and any recipient of federal financial assistance, including state and local governments, would be barred from discriminating against those entities for declining to participate in abortion-related services. - The Attorney General or any individual or entity harmed by an actual or threatened violation could sue without first exhausting administrative remedies and seek injunctive relief, money and compensatory damages, and reasonable attorneys' fees.
