## Summary

**100 percent indemnity for Mexican gray wolf attacks**. This bill would set federal payments equal to full market value for livestock killed by Mexican gray wolves and create a new emergency relief program for affected producers. - Livestock producers: Producers with confirmed Mexican gray wolf attacks would receive indemnity payments equal to 100 percent of the market value of the affected animals as determined by the Secretary of Agriculture. - Emergency relief program: The Department of Agriculture would use available funds each fiscal year to provide emergency relief. The Secretary must create a formula within 180 days that considers herd size, state-level confirmed depredations, five-year changes in management costs and birth rates, and the producer's prevention practices. - Agencies and oversight: The Secretary would consult the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service when developing the formula and must report annually on amounts distributed and number of producers assisted starting one year after the first payments. - Other losses: The bill preserves the existing indemnity framework for non-wolf livestock losses.
