## Summary

**Accelerate research on lung cancer in women.** This bill would direct the Department of Health and Human Services to lead an interagency review, in consultation with the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs, to identify research gaps, expand access to lung cancer screening for women and underserved populations, and design national public education campaigns on early detection. - Women and underserved populations: Would target expanded screening access and outreach for people who meet U.S. Preventive Services Task Force eligibility. - Researchers and federal agencies: Would require a comprehensive review of past studies, identification of knowledge gaps, and opportunities for collaborative research on environmental and genomic causes and imaging advances. - Public health systems and policymakers: Would develop a national screening strategy and public education campaign, and HHS would submit a report to Congress within 2 years.
