## Summary

**Prevent SNAP updates from increasing food insecurity.** This bill would amend section 3(u) of the Food and Nutrition Act to require that any re-evaluation or update of the Thrifty Food Plan not increase the number of households that lack adequate food because they lack money or other resources to buy food. It also requires that updates continue to adjust the plan's cost under the Act's existing four-part framework.
