## Summary

**Prohibits new oil and gas leasing in three offshore Florida areas.** It would bar the Secretary from issuing any new leases or other authorizations for exploration, development, or production in three defined planning areas off Florida's coast, while preserving rights under leases issued before enactment. - Coastal communities and tourism: Residents and local businesses would see fewer new oil and gas authorizations off their shores in the three named areas. - Energy companies and developers: Companies could not obtain new leases or permits for exploration, development, or production in the specified Eastern Gulf of Mexico, South Atlantic, and Straits of Florida planning areas. - Current leaseholders: Any lease issued under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act before enactment would remain unaffected.
