## Summary

**Ban on oil and gas leasing in the Southern California Planning Area.** This bill would add a new subsection to the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act that prevents the Secretary of the Interior from issuing any lease or authorization for exploration, development, or production of oil or natural gas in the area defined by the 2024–2029 National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Proposed Final Program.
