## Summary

**Ends the oil and gas leasing program for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).** It would repeal the leasing authority created by Section 20001 of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and designate about 1,559,538 acres on the coastal plain as wilderness. - Oil and gas companies: Removes the statutory basis for leasing in ANWR's coastal plain, blocking new federal oil and gas leasing there. - Conservation, wildlife and public lands: Adds about 1.6 million acres to the National Wilderness Preservation System and protects the coastal plain under the Wilderness Act. - Department of the Interior and land managers: Directs the Secretary of the Interior to administer the new tract as part of existing ANWR wilderness under Wilderness Act rules.
