## Summary

**This bill would create an _Energy Products Exemption_ to let energy fuels, equipment, and related components move on U.S. coastwise routes between the contiguous 48 states and Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico.** It narrows the exemption to defined "energy products" and to the listed noncontiguous trade routes so those goods can be shipped under coastwise rules when at least one endpoint is in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, or Puerto Rico. - Energy companies and utilities: Eases delivery of generators, storage units, wind turbines, solar panels, liquefied natural gas, and petroleum products to noncontiguous areas. This should simplify moving large energy components for projects and repairs. - Maritime operators and shippers: Opens more coastwise-eligible routes for vessels carrying the defined energy products between the specified places. Operators serving island and Alaskan routes may see expanded cargo options. - Federal, state, and territorial governments: Allows government-owned energy equipment and supplies classified as merchandise to travel on these coastwise routes under the exemption.
