## Summary

**This bill would tighten the Foreign Agents Registration Act to ensure retroactive registration and enforcement for past foreign‑agent activity.** It would let the Attorney General seek court orders for past noncompliance and require annual, machine‑readable reports to Congress. - People who served as foreign agents: would have to register covering the period they acted, including activity from the five‑year period before enactment. - Attorney General and courts: would be able to seek orders to enforce FARA while a person acts or at any time after, and could require ongoing or retroactive compliance for periods when the person acted. - Congress and public oversight: the Attorney General would submit a machine‑readable report within one year and then annually listing each enforcement action, the names of covered individuals, the rationale for the action, and the action's status.
