## Summary

**Emergency relief grants for farm workers.** This bill would create a new USDA Rural Development grant program that funds organizations to provide urgent aid, shelter, and resilience-building for farm workers hit by weather disasters, pandemics, or other events that cause income loss or work disruption. - Farm workers, including migrant and seasonal workers, would get access to emergency services, temporary shelter, and help covering income losses after covered disasters such as droughts, wildfires, excessive heat, or pandemics. - Membership-based farm worker groups and experienced 501(c)(3) nonprofits could receive grants to deliver relief, build local response capacity, and support longer-term resiliency in farm worker communities. - The program would be run through the Under Secretary for Rural Development at USDA, require a promotional plan, and mandate consultation with eligible farm worker organizations.
