## Summary

**This bill would create a new _Office of Agritourism_ at the Department of Agriculture** to promote farm-based education, outdoor recreation, entertainment, direct sales, lodging, and dining and to help farms diversify income and support rural communities. - Families and visitors: Encourages and promotes farm visits, educational programs, outdoor events, and special attractions that create new opportunities for children and families to connect with agriculture. - Small and family farms: Offers outreach, mentorship, and technical assistance to help small and family-run farms boost supplemental income through direct sales, accommodations, dining, and events and improves farm enterprise programs on business planning, financial literacy, and marketing. - Rural communities: Seeks to strengthen rural economic development and preserve agricultural heritage by coordinating networks of agritourism businesses and sharing best practices. - USDA coordination: Appoints a Director to align USDA programs with agritourism best practices, coordinate across agencies, and collaborate with other federal partners.
