## Summary

**Gives federally employed Selected Reserve and National Guard members the option to choose between military and civilian health coverage.** This bill would remove the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) barrier and create a statutory path for those members to enroll in TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). It would also move the TRS eligibility date so enrollment is available beginning January 1, 2026. - Members with federal civilian jobs would be able to choose TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) instead of their FEHB plan, with TRS enrollment available starting January 1, 2026. - Eligible members and their families could keep TRS during mobilization cycles, improving continuity of care across active duty and reserve service. - Sponsors say expanded access to comprehensive, low-cost coverage would support force readiness and lethality by reducing healthcare gaps for reservists and Guard members.
