## Summary

**This bill would create a National Park Service program to** **reduce disposable plastic products and, where feasible, stop selling them in park units**. The Director would have 180 days to set the plan and regional directors would implement it across park units. - Visitors and families would see more water refill stations and a proactive education campaign explaining water availability and encouraging reusable bottles. - Regional directors and park managers would be required to eliminate sale of water in disposable plastic bottles to the greatest extent feasible while weighing 13 specific factors such as costs, refill-station infrastructure, public health, and contract impacts. - Concessioners and cooperating associations would need to align agreements and operating plans with the program, with consideration of effects on sales revenue and lease or possessory interests. Units that did not sell bottled water before could continue that practice.
