## Summary

**Acquisition of Greenland.** This bill would authorize the President to seek negotiations with Denmark to acquire Greenland, beginning at 12:01 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 20, 2025. - The President must transmit any reached agreement and all related materials to the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee within 5 calendar days. - Congress would have a 60-calendar-day review period in which it could enact a joint resolution of disapproval. If Congress does not act within that period, the agreement would take effect and have the full force of law, governing the terms of the acquisition.
