## Summary

**Would exempt captive-held sturgeon and their progeny from certain Endangered Species Act protections until they are intentionally returned to the wild.** The bill would carve out those fish from Section 9(a)(1) and section 7(a)(2) requirements while requiring anyone who holds them to demonstrate eligibility and to keep and provide inventories, documentation, and records to the Secretary on request.
