## Summary

**Allows nurse practitioners and physician assistants to prescribe, recommend, or order medical services, appliances, and supplies for people covered by the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act.** They would do this only within the scope of their practice under state law and under regulations and instructions the President requires. - Energy workers and their families would have more clinicians who can authorize covered treatments and supplies, which could speed access to care. - Nurse practitioners and physician assistants would be added to the program's authorized provider pool and allowed to order or prescribe care when state law permits. - The program would rely on President-approved regulations and state scope-of-practice rules to define how these providers operate under the Act.
