**Prohibits abortion providers from placing fetal remains into publicly owned water systems.** It would add section 498F to the Public Health Service Act and define key terms including "abortion", "abortion provider", "fetal remains", and "publicly owned water system". Violations would be a federal criminal offense punishable by a fine under Title 18, imprisonment up to 5 years, or both. The bill also says the person who had the abortion would not be liable for violations and it does not preempt stricter state or local rules.
